Our story
It all started in 1870
Our guest house is a family home, and our two children are the 3rd generation to live here. We have all worked together to make Un Banc au Soleil what it is today.
1870
An ageless example of the traditional Charentais style.
This former farmhouse was built by skilled craftsmen in the oyster farming village of Marsilly.
1966
Style and spirit of a family home.
The family acquired the house, and Stéphane was born two years later.
2008
Building the future with respect for the past.
Stéphane and Corinne bought the house and embarked on their bold project with passion.
2012
Un Banc au Soleil opens for business.
After 3 years of work, the house welcomed its first guests. And the adventure continues with you…

The pool
Laze under the olive tree or read a good book while dangling your feet in the water. The pool is open throughout the summer season – from the end of May to the end of September, weather-permitting.

Delicious breakfasts
We prepare the breakfasts ourselves.
Jams, pastries, fruit juices and fresh seasonal produce from organic or sustainable sources are served on the terrace or in the day room.
